ASTIMAR becomes user 51 of ZED Mariel

Cuban state company Astimar today became user number 51 of Mariel Special Development Zone, following the notification of the approval to its application for establishment, which will allow t to start enjoying the special regimes and other advantages provided by this important economic enclave.

The enterprise is located in Mariel municipality and engages in a number of activities, including naval maintenance and repairs, the production of plastic articles by rotomoulding, as well as sandwich panels and multi-layer roof tiles, highly important for the construction process in the Zone and in the country.

As part of its establishment in the Zone, Astimar will undertake investments to increase its capacities and upgrade the efficiency of its activities.
