The ZED Mariel is connected to the national electrical network through two circuits, it has electrical substations. The current available power is 130 MWh and the installation of solar panels is promoted to contribute to Cuba's aspiration to generate 24% of its energy needs from renewable sources in 2030. The urbanized area has public lighting.
