New user of ZED Mariel will produce tissue paper and cleaning products

The Canadian capital company WYM Group, S.A. was approved as a user of the ZED Mariel, for the production and commercialization of tissue paper and cleaning products.

Authorized to operate in Cuba for 25 years from its registration in the Mercantile Registry, this Cuban subsidiary of the Canadian company Group Wym INC. will produce multi-purpose detergents and different types of tissue paper.

The productions of WYM Group, S.A. They will include napkins, disposable tissues, kitchen paper and liquid detergents for domestic and commercial use. With high quality standards, they will be destined for both export and the national market.

The plant, which will be located in Sector A of ZED Mariel, will have high-tech equipment and will be able to generate part of the electrical energy through solar panels on its roof.

In line with the development strategy for the Zone, it is expected that the factory obtains part of its raw materials in the national market, strengthening the productive linkages with the rest of the Cuban economy.

Grupo Wym INC., based in the province of Quebec, is dedicated to international development, project management, and the manufacture of medical devices, a sector to which they have been linked since 1998.

WYM Group, S.A. it is the first Quebec-owned company to establish itself in ZED Mariel.
